Privacy Policy

BoreSheet LLC (Oklahoma) · Effective date: [DRAFT — set on publication]

BoreSheet is a horizontal-directional-drilling bore planner made by BoreSheet LLC ("we"). It is available at boresheet.com / boresheet.pages.dev and as iOS and Android apps. This policy explains what happens to information when you use it. Short version: there are no accounts, and your jobs stay on your device.

1. Information stays on your device

Jobs, bore plans, company profile, logo, crew names, GPS pit points, imported locator files and settings are saved in your browser's or app's local storage on your device. We do not receive, store or back up this data on any server. If you delete the app, clear site data, or lose the device, it is gone unless you exported a backup. Exports (PDF, CSV, KML, DXF, ZIP, backup JSON) are created on your device and go only where you choose to save or share them.

2. No accounts, tracking or ads

BoreSheet has no sign-up or login. We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers, tracking cookies, or third-party SDKs that collect usage data, and we do not sell or share personal information.

3. Optional lookups

Some features send a request over the internet only when you use them. These requests go through our server (a Cloudflare Worker at boresheet.pages.dev), which forwards them and returns the result. We do not attach any identity to them and do not keep logs of their contents beyond what our hosting provider records for routine operation and security (e.g. IP address and request time in transient infrastructure logs).

Short-lived edge caching of lookup results may occur, keyed only by the lookup itself (not by who asked). These providers have their own privacy policies. If you don't use these features, or you're offline, nothing is sent; the planner works fully without them.

4. Location

The app asks for location permission only when you tap a "here" / GPS button. Coordinates are saved in the job on your device and sent only for the address and elevation lookups described above.

5. Feedback

If you tap Feedback, your email app opens a pre-filled message. Nothing is sent unless you send it. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and use it only to reply and improve BoreSheet.

6. Children

BoreSheet is a professional tool not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

7. Your choices and rights

Because we don't hold your planning data, you control it directly: edit or delete jobs in the app, or clear the app's data. For any request about feedback emails you sent us (access, deletion), contact us below. California, Oklahoma and other residents may have additional rights under applicable law; we honor them.

8. Security

Lookups use HTTPS. Data on your device is protected by your device's own security; use a device passcode.

9. Changes

We'll post changes here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the app.
